Why You Need This: In this video, you'll learn how to make more putts with your release.
I have a quick and simple drill for you to practice...
Grab 2 balls from your bag and place them next to each other on the green.
This may seem a little nutty...
But I want you to putt both of the balls at the same time.
If you see both balls rolling close to the same speed, then that indicates that you're holding off on your release a bit.
To release properly, you need to have the putter face releasing slightly through impact.
So what you want to see is the outside ball going further than the inside ball.
This happens because the putter is releasing slightly and the impact is a little harder on the outside ball.
Note that the release you want is very slight; so don't release like an iron shot!

Hi guys, and welcome back. In today’s video I’m going to talk about how to release that putter so that you can drain more putts right away. I’ve got a really simple drill for you.
Go ahead and grab two balls out of your bag, we’re going to set up just to nowhere on the green. We’re going to make a couple putts here.
Now if we release the putter properly, what’s going to happen is I’m going to come on through this putt and my toe is releasing, and I’m going to hit the outside ball slightly harder because my toe is releasing. It’s going to roll a little bit farther.
I want you to go ahead and take a couple putts now. You can see that that outside ball rolls a little bit farther.
Now one of the most common mistakes that I see are people holding off on that release. We’re trying to steer that ball in there, we’re trying to get tight and just kind of guide the ball into the hole.
If we do this, now when I putt the inside of my putter is coming in a little bit too early, and then my inside ball is going to roll a little bit farther doing this.
I want you to go ahead and five in a row getting the outside ball to roll a little bit farther, and then you’ll be set to drain a lot of putts. Good luck to you guys.
