Why You Need This: In this video, you'll learn how to feel lag with the pump drill!
This is a great drill to feel the sensation of maintaining your lag in the downswing.
As you'll see in the video, there are 3 checkpoints that you need to follow...
#1 Shallow Out the Club
This is important.
You don't want to perform this drill and ingrain your swing with a steep club path.
So make sure you check your path.
#2 Don't Forget Your Lower Body
It's easy to perform the pump drill with just your arms.
The problem is that if you don't use your lower body, you'll mess up your sequencing.
Engage your legs and rotate your hips open while practicing the pump drill.
#3 Put it All Together
Pump your lag twice while engaging your lower body...
Then on the 3rd pump, swing through and make contact with the ball.
