Why You Need This: Now I know what you're probably thinking. You're thinking, Michael. You're guaranteeing my hips are going to be open at impact. But every single time I try this, they are dead square. I can demonstrate it I can get my hips open in a demonstration, but when I go to swing, my hips stall out, maybe I stand up a little bit.
They say dead square and the hips don't fully rotate until well after impact. You're telling me you've tried a million things? Well, I am literally guaranteeing if you execute three very simple checkpoints, your hips will be open at impact guaranteed. So what those checkpoints are we're going to dove right into this is we have two checkpoints with our legs, one checkpoint with our hands with the first one's going to be with the lead leg.
The first the lead leg needs to be straightened. Now, the second checkpoint, let me grab my stick here we're going to mark the middle of our stance, if you. If you're doing this at home, use an alignment sticker, use a club, anything to mark the very middle of your stance. We're going to have the lead leg straighten, which is going to push the hip open and back.
And we're going to make sure that the right knee, our back knee is going to be past the middle of our stance, those two checkpoints where they are going to make sure our hips are going to be wide, wide open so the lead leg straighten the right knee is past the middle of our stance. Now, the key to put this all together to get this at impact is both of these need to happen before our hands get below our belt line.
So what we're going to do is we're going to put a wall or horizontal wall right here on our belt, and we're going to make sure that our hands are above this wall. By the time we've executed the first two checkpoints, lead leg straight, right knee in front of the in front of the midline. So this is to cut to the chase and getting these hips to finally open up and clear through impact.
And if we execute these three checkpoints, we will guarantee them being open through impact Now, there we go. Now, I know that shots and it absolutely killed or anything, but that's not the point. We are trying to cut to the chase on getting these hips open through impact. So again, if I straighten this lead leg and my knee passes that midline before my hands get there, I'm going to guarantee that now.
I'm going to have the ability to get forward shaft lean and release it out in front, doesn't guarantee it. But I'm going to have the ability to get into all those positions. You see the touring pros get into now, you're probably thinking, you know, I've tried to do all this before. There's a lot to it. There is. But it's a lot easier if you have some direct help.
