Why You Need This: In this video, you'll learn the "Compress the Ball with Shaft Lean Drill."
Top Speed Golf Director of Instruction Robin Rosado leads this video and will show you some tips for compression and power.
The goal is for you to hit those nice, solid irons that explode off your clubface.
And Robin has a great drill to help you do it.
Here's a quick summary of the drill you'll learn...
Grab an iron (7 iron is fine) and tee up your ball just a bit.
It never hurts to tee up your ball a little when performing drills so you can get cleaner, more solid contact.
Start the drill in a good impact position.
Open up your hips and place the club with forward shaft lean.
This is a sort of cheat that'll help you get in the correct position when you actually make contact with the ball.
