Why You Need This: In this video, you'll discover the best golf putting training aid.
It's called the Butter Putter, and I really like its flexible shaft and how it can help you develop a smooth putting stroke.
There are a few ways the Butter Putter can help your putting...
First, the grip on the putter is shaped to make it dead simple on where to place your left hand on the club.
It helps take your left wrist out of the stroke to avoid putting with a flipping motion.
Second, the shaft of the putter is extremely flexible.
So, if you start your stroke with a jumpy, erratic motion, you'll instantly see the putter wiggling around.
The point having such a flexible shaft is to train you to putt with a smooth stroke.
Attempt to get the least amount of shaft bend as possible.
Third, feel like your left wrist is going slightly up as you hit through the ball.
This will help you put a bit of topspin on the ball and will eliminate the ball from popping up.
In summary...
I highly recommend the Butter Putter.

All right guys, the Butter Putter, it’s a flimsy putter. I really like this training aid for your putting. There’s a couple things that this can really help you with. This is made by a company called EyeLine Golf, and it’s a really cool training aid.
One of my favorite things about this putter, is if you look at the grip here, we can see that on the left side of the grip there’s this indention that kind of rides up of the side.
What you can do, is you can take your palm of your hand, and there’s a life line that goes up the palm of the hand. I’m going to put that indention right in that palm. So now that my putter is running with my forearm, if you look at it from this direction.
Now as I set up both my forearms are running down the shaft of the putter, that’s going to help me take my wrist out of the stroke a little bit, making it a little bit easier to be consistent. That’s the first thing I like about this putter, is it gets you a good grip right off the bat.
Now the second thing, we can see it also has those on the right side of the hand, and that’s where your left-hand fingers are going to come, and the right hand fingers on the other side.
You can use a multitude of grips, I tend to like a reverse overlap with my left finger kind of coming down the left side, but you can also go with all the fingers on there. You could use the claw grip, you could use the variation of grips, but it’s going to help you get in the life line no matter which grip you’re using.
A second thing here, is this shaft is really flimsy. So what’s going to happen is if we start to pop the stroke at all, that shaft is going to be going all over the place.
I’ve got to be really smooth, build momentum very smoothly and carefully, and then keep that momentum moving forward to the target. I want to feel like I get the least amount of bend possible with this shaft as I’m going back and through.
Now a third thing that I want you guys to focus in on, is as you’re putting, imagine the back of your left hand working into the hole. Almost like you’re taking the back of your left hand and you’re working up this ball to get some top spin on it, that’s going to be kind of the feeling that you’re having.
That hand’s really going to guide you into the cup. If I start to break down that left hand, things can get crazy. I can start putting all over the place. So we’ve got our grip, we’ve got our smooth tempo, let’s keep the back of that hand going toward the cup.
There we go, we’re going to make some more putts. Good luck, try out the Butter Putter, great training aid. I know you guys will like it.
