In this video, you’ll learn how to control your wedges.
The key is to stay connected while hitting short pitch shots as opposed to getting separation as you would with a full swing.
With your short shots, let’s say within 30 yards of the green, there shouldn’t be any separation with your hands, arms, and body.
It’s OK to have a little bit of wrist hinge with your short wedge shots, but try to keep everything together.
Imagine you have gloves between your arms and body to maintain the feeling of being connected in the swing.
As you swing through impact, rotate everything together and don’t let your wrists roll over like you would in a full swing.
Also, you don’t want a big divot with your short wedge shots, so don’t jam the clubface into the ground.
