Clay: It's absolutely great to have you here today. And this may be the most important video in this entire series. And there's really only one way to screw this series up and not be able to stay in your posture through impact, hit those really nice solid shots. And in a second, I'm going to talk about how I'm going to fix that for you and take the biggest weight off your shoulders.
Now, if you're going to mess this up, it's usually going to happen by falling into conflicting advice or grappling with conflicting advice. So maybe you've gotten a lesson, you read in Golf Digest, you saw something on TV that says, you know, let's really throw this right arm. Let's get this right arm to really extend and get that speed into the ball.
That's how you should try to create speed in the golf swing. And now here I am telling you that you want to keep this right arm bent so you can stay in your posture. So you start to grapple with these ideas and it's especially tough when that advice is coming from someone that's, uh, you know, teaching pros or someone that you really respect.
You could also fall into, uh, you know, conflicting ideas with, I may tell you to exaggerate a drill. So in one of the drills, I talk about how to get that head down to where it's almost parallel with the ground and really exaggerate covering on top of the ball. And in your mind, you may be thinking, wow, that's, that's really down there.
That seems a little bit exaggerated. I don't know if I want my swing to look that goofy, or I don't know if I want to do that. And you just grapple with these ideas to where you're constantly hearing something and trying to fit that in with everything else you've heard. We're trying to fit that in with what you think the swing should be.
Well, here's where I'm gonna take the weight off your shoulders. What I want you to do is take all that information for one week, just this one week and flush it down the toilet, get rid of all of it. And I want you to put your trust in me that this is going to work. And in fact, I'm so confident in that I'm going to make a pretty bold promise for you.
If you simply forget about everything that you've been taught or every other conflicting piece of information that you could possibly do, And just follow the drills step by step exactly like they're laid out. If I tell you to exaggerate, exaggerate the heck out of it. If I tell you to keep the right arm bent, bend the heck out of it, right?
Really follow it to a T nothing more, nothing less. I will guarantee you that you'll stay in your posture and hit some really solid compressed shots, or I'll give you a full refund. That's how confident I am. And it's about to be one of the most fun weeks of your life because that's really the struggle in golf is you're constantly Fighting your own self, trying to figure out what's right, what's wrong.
Well, forget about that. You don't have to worry about any of it. Just trust that I'm going to walk you through exactly what's right. And at the end of this week, you know, you're getting kind of a free pass this week to not have to worry about any of the crap that drives you nuts. At the end of this week, if it doesn't work, then you can turn around, get that refund, and say, you know what, Clay doesn't know what he's talking about.
I can go back to what I was doing before. That's completely fine. But this week, you're going to get that free pass. Well, I can't wait to hear about your tremendous results. If you follow what I talked about in this video and follow the drills that I lay out here, let's go ahead and get back into the course.
