In this video, “Avoid These 2 Killer Moves in the Golf Swing”…
You’ll learn how to combat 2 common swing moves that plague many golfers.
Note that many golfers that struggle with power tend to have a jerky swing and their timing is off.
The moves in this video will help you understand why…
Power Killer #1: Not Getting a Full Turn
Not getting a full turn means your arms won’t have much room to accelerate in the downswing.
PGA Tour players average around a 118 degree turn.
You don’t necessarily need that much turn, but do your best to get at least 90 degrees.
Otherwise, you’ll struggle to generate the clubhead speed you want.
Power Killer #2: Narrow-wide-narrow Path
The next power killer happens when you pick up the club with your arms and create a narrow-wide-narrow swing path.
Narrow-wide-narrow is when you have a narrow path in the backswing, cast it wide at the start of the downswing, and then follow through with a really narrow path.
To build power and speed, do the opposite.
Start the swing with a nice wide takeaway and get narrow near the top of the swing.
As you transition into the downswing, maintain the narrow path (lag!), and extend the club past impact.
