In this video, you get a great golf lesson for effortless power.
We all want a nice, fluid swing…
But how can you possibly get the distance you want if you’re not swinging out of your shoes?
Find out in this video…
You’ll learn how to smooth out your swing and boost your clubhead speed at the same time.
Weight Shift
Your weight shift is really a huge key to achieving a smooth swing.
It’ll help improve your timing, tempo, and rhythm.
Think of your weight shift as 2 pivots.
One pivot is your right hip socket and the other is your left hip socket.
In the backswing, pivot around your right hip socket and allow your hips to rotate back.
Load up on your right leg and shift your weight to the left, rotating around your left hip socket.
In the video, you’ll learn a nice drill to improve your weight shift.
Long Swing
In the backswing, many players hinge their wrists and take the club back fast.
This results in a more compact swing and makes it more difficult to get speed in the downswing.
Here’s what you need to do instead…
Take the club back with a huge arc and let your hands go high.
Bubba Watson does a really good job of getting his hands and club high in the backswing.
You don’t need to be as extreme as Bubba, but you’ll likely find it easier to swing with more speed if your club is higher at the top of the swing.
Make sure you practice the drill that I show you in the video.
So, put these 2 keys together…
- Weight Shift
- Long Arms
… And you’ll be well on your way to producing effortless power!
