This isn’t just another bandaid that’ll temporarily get you to stay in your posture.
You’ll discover that it’s actually not “poor posture” that causes you to stand up in the downswing… but rather, it’s an issue with your trail arm that’s to blame. I’ll guide you through a series of carefully designed indoor and outdoor drills. Initially, we’ll focus on the importance of gripping the club in a way that encourages proper posture. I’ll introduce the concept of the ‘power position’ and the dynamics of a correct club release to promote straighter and more powerful shots.
If you follow this course as I lay it out, I promise to correct your tendency to stand up out of your posture during the downswing. We’ll focus on the right elbow and wrist, ensuring solid, compressed shots without overexertion.
By the end of the series, you should master staying in your posture, enabling you to hit more consistent, powerful shots. You’ll achieve this through physical drills and mental imagery, ensuring the golf ball is ‘trapped’ against the clubface for maximum compression.
