In this video, you’ll learn a great drill to fix your slice for good.
So if you’re getting sick and tired of slicing shot after shot…
…this is THE drill for you.
First, you’ll learn how to really exaggerate the right to left ball flight…
And by exaggerating this feeling, you’ll start to break all those bad slicing habits you accumulated over the years.
Note that you might even start hooking the ball with this drill…
And that’s great!
Why is that great?
Well if you’re starting to hook the ball you can always tone down your in-to-out path a bit to straighten out your shots.
Remember the most important goal of this drill is to break your slicing habit.
So hook all you want!
This drill will only take you a few minutes to start ingraining the movements into your swing.
So check out this video now to discover the best drill to fix your slice…
And get your distance back by hitting long, hot-running draws!

Hi guys, I’ve got a really good drill to help exaggerate and get that ball really curving right to left. For those of you who are struggling with your slice, you’re sick and tired of having that ball curve left to right, losing big-time distance, this is going to help you snap you out of it right away.
Very simple drill, it only takes a few minutes to really ingrain this and get comfortable with it.
What we’re going to do is we’re going to forget about the golf ball for a minute, and all I’m going to do when I set up is I’m going to practice really getting this path of the club to swing way out to the right.
One of the struggles that I see with people as they start to swing more out to the right, is we’re not used to rolling the face over.
If we have an over the top swing, we’re going right to left, we’re used to holding this face open as we’re coming through instead of letting it release and roll on over like we want to with a nice draw shot, a well-compressed shot.
So in this video we’re going to work on not only swinging to the right, but getting those hands to roll on over as we’re coming through contact. I’ve got a great drill that’s going to force you to do that.
All we’re going to do is we’re going to set up with our feet pretty close together. I want you to take a backswing, not really a backswing, this isn’t even really a golf swing. I want you to take a swing where the club is low to the ground.
We’re going to come back here, really get wound up as far behind our body as we can. Now you’ll see my club is pointing directly out in front of me. Now from here, I’m going to swing forward, let my hands roll on over, and I’m going to finish over my left shoulder.
If I’m going this way toward the camera, or toward the left, that’ll be the direction I would hit the imaginary shot here. I’m going to put my feet close together, backswing low and to the inside, you’ll see my right elbow’s really tucked in against my body.
This is a very inside swing path. My club is pointing out in front of me, and then I’m going to let face roll on over and finish over my left shoulder.
Now if I come over the top, I’m used to getting that right shoulder kind of coming this way, getting the club coming down and through the ball. That would look something instead of being like this, that would look something more like that.
So if you start to feel that right shoulder getting overactive, you start to feel the club tipping on out, that’s really going to hurt what you’re doing.
This is a great drill, I’ve seen other people do this before, and it really does help to kick the habit of hitting a fade or a slice. This is going to be an extreme drill.
I want you to do about 50 of these, go ahead and get some club head speed doing that, you’ll feel like you do a nice whip of the club, getting the forearms to roll on over.
Once we do that, now we’re going to go ahead and try to hit a few golf balls doing this. It is very extreme, so you may hit some big hooks, but you’re going to be swinging well out to the right, really letting that roll on over.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to hook this ball a good 30 or 40 yards. You’re going to have to play it a little bit farther back in your stance when you’re coming this far inside out. That way your right leg isn’t in the way. You’ll see just how far to the right I swing here.
There you go, that ball drew a good 20 or 30 yards. Let me grab one more golf ball. We’ll see if I can go even more than that.
Ball in the back of my stance, inside out, really letting those hands roll, probably a weird feeling for those of you maybe have sliced for a long time. There you go, and that ball really started to hook.
Once we’ve done that, now we’re going to start to straighten this out a little bit. After we start to get this…well I want to see that ball curving 20 or 30 yards, then instead of feeling like I’m going as much to the right, I’m going to feel like I’m coming a little straighter through contact.
My club face is still going to roll on over. So as I get to what we call the straight line release in the Top Speed Golf System, as I release out in front my club face should be closed about 45° if we’re going this direction.
As I come out front, my club face as it’s pointing out in front should be closed about 45°. That’s going to be that nice, straight shot. So the face is rotating square through the ball.
Work on those drills. Get about 50 swings no ball, really ingrain that rolling on over of the wrists, swinging out to the right.
We’re going to hit another 20 or 30 shots hitting a ball, big-time hook, really getting that ball to turn on over. Then you’re going to straighten it out, tone it down a little bit, coming a little bit more square through contact, still getting a nice roll of the forearms.
Good luck to you guys. Work hard on this drill, I’ll see you all soon.
